These entrance criteria include:

- You have a documented disability, or as a student you have presumed disability.

How do services start?

After the referral is made to Illies Consulting, you and your counselor will work with Illies Consulting to schedule an intake meeting which usually lasts around an hour. Typically, these meeting are 1 to 2 weeks from the time of referral. At that intake meeting we will talk about your unique skills, interests and goals, skills; your rights will be explained; your will be asked to sign releases so that we can coordinate services; service options will be explained; and a plan will be developed with you and your team. This plan will be unique to you and we will identify the roles and responsibilities of you and Illies Consulting to help you achieve your goals.

What happens next?

We will decide on the when, where and how we are meeting to move forward. We will do our best to meet with you at a time and location which is convenient for you. You can expect to meet or have contact with Illies Consulting on a regular basis to complete the identified tasks to meet your goals.

For individuals who are referred for job placement we work together on the individual roles/responsibilities as defined in during the intake meeting until a community job is secured.

Typically, once a person starts their employment, we will provide supports to you based on your needs for 90 days (or more) to make sure things are going well and that you are satisfied with your job. We will then talk with you about closing your file with Illies Consulting, please note that your Vocational Rehabilitation file is separate than Illies Consulting and you can talk with your counselor about that file.

How long with the process take?

Factors such as the service provided; job goal; labor market and other factors may impact the service timelines. We will work at your pace and do our best to help you achieve your goals on a timely basis. This will be constantly monitored for progress and to determine if we need to adjust the plan. During the whole time you work with Illies your Vocational Counselor and team will be updated on service activity and process.

For individuals referred for other employment related services we will work together to achieve those specific goals. These services will also be monitored and continually evaluated by you and your team to determine if other services Illies Consulting offers are needed at this time.

What if I change my mind and decide I am no longer interested in services?

At anytime, you can change your mind and decide that at this time you are no longer looking for a job or your goals have changed; you want services not offered at Illies Consulting; or you wish to work with another provider.

Illies Consulting or your Vocational Counselor can also determine that Illies Consulting is not a good fit for your services.

People also leave or end services because they have achieved their vocational goal(s) and no longer need services.

There is no time limit, nor is there a limit to the number of times you can receive services; but services will need to be funded by your Vocational Counselor.
